SGH New Zealand Workshop
In order to further deepen what we learned in our international society lectures on multiculturalism and living in a multiethnic society, we attended a workshop from October 18th to the 24th in New Zealand.
This year’s theme was “Living with the Maori.” We visited the country of New Zealand, known for being a developed country which protects the rights of their natives. We examined how they continue to protect the Maori peoples’ rights and what problems they’ve had.
The schedule was as follows.

10/20 | Time at Whakatane Intermediate School Visiting the Community-based Marae |
10/21 | Activities to preserve New Zealand nature with the Maori (Kiwi Bird Sanctuary) |
10/22 | Day of rest with host families |
10/23 | Return to Auckland Survey the locals at Silvia Park |
10/24 | Return Home (Auckland – Narita – Shinsapporo) |
