Training Trip to Thailand

From September 19th to the 24th, we had a training trip to the Phayao Province of Thailand in order to further deepen our understanding of the multiculturalism and multiethnic coexistence.

This year’s trip’s theme was “Learning about the Problems of Human Trafficking and the Support and Development of At-Risk Children.” Building from the previous three trips to Thailand, through the activities of the YMCA Phayao Center, we were able to further enhance our understanding of the environment surrounding the children. In addition, we were able to experience many different excursions such as homestays in agriculture villages, discussions with students at local schools, and interviewing the caretakers of the nurseries in neighboring locations. After returning to Japan, we will use these experiences to investigate further into our research.
